Roland Professional A/V and Audinate Webinar
Roland Professional A/V and Audinate, the creator of the Dante™ networking protocol, held a webinar event on March 23, 2017.

NAB Show, Las Vegas, NV, April 24, 2017 — Roland Professional A/V and Audinate®, the creator of the Dante™ networking protocol, recently hosted a live webinar, “Integrating Dante into Audio and Video Workflows,” at Roland’s studios in Los Angeles on March 23, 2017. The event was simulcast live to the Roland Pro AV website using Ustream, in addition to streaming to its Facebook Live page. Viewer-participants were encouraged to ask questions using the chat functions on both platforms. A Dante network was set up in the studio, connecting the Roland V-1200HD 2 M/E video switcher and M-5000 OHCRA Live Mixing Console via XI-Dante expansion cards to help demonstrate ways to improve audio workflows for live production, streaming, broadcasting and recording. The whole event was produced and streamed using the Roland V-1200HD for the video switching and the Roland M-5000 for the audio production. The entire session is archived for viewing on Roland’s website here and on YouTube here.

Event host Rob Read, business development manager for Roland’s Pro AV division, says, “This was not your typical pre-recorded PowerPoint and talking-head-style webinar; rather, this TV-show-style production helped our audience feel like they were on-set or sitting in a classroom learning about Dante and the challenges and benefits from audio and video workflows. We were very pleased with audience engagement and the type of questions we received – not only during the broadcast itself, but post-event.”

Ervin Grinberg, MarComm Director for Audinate, adds, “I have you tell you, the webinar we did with Roland was one of the best, if not the best, webinars we have participated in. The video aspect and the cutting to the PPT slides worked so well and kept my attention that I didn’t want it to end, seriously.”
