Las Vegas, NV, April 11, 2011 – Today at the NAB show, Roland Systems Group announced the
VC-30HD - a new innovative video converter for webstreaming and capture.
The VC-30HD is a multi-input video converter and encoding device that accepts HDMI, Component, composite, S-Video, Firewire, and analog or digital audio via RCA, XLR, and AES-EBU. The VC-30HD can be selected to convert to DV, HDV, or MPEG-2 formats. The VC-30HD combines the audio and video sources together and encodes to both a Firewire stream and USB audio/video class device simultaneously. This is ideal and convenient for archiving to Blu-ray while at the same time webstreaming through a video streaming service on a PC/Mac.
The VC-30HD is ideal as a capture solution for NLE’s on both Mac and PC platforms for pulling in source material from almost any device. It can be used to convert audio and video content for web streaming applications or archiving and content to Blu-ray. Record content to a video deck, DVD recorder or portable field recorder such the Roland F-1.
Because the VC-30HD has two independent Firewire ports, it can be used as a bridge communication device between two computers, or a camera and a blu-ray/DVD recorder. The VC-30HD can be used for live production, post production, webstreaming or any application that requires a Firewire and/or USB host connection between devices.
The VC-30HD ships with utility software that will enable control of parameters such as audio delay for lip sync, bit rates, timecode, etc.
The VC-30HD is a strong addition to the growing lineup of video converters from Roland that include the VC-300HD, VC-200HD, and VC-50HD video converters widely used for live and post production applications.
