XI-Series Update Program


The XI series update program is a program for updating XI series units (XI-DANTE, XI-DVI, XI-MADI, XI-REAC, XI-SDI, and XI-WSG units).
You can use the included XI Updater application (for Windows and Macintosh) to put your XI series unit in the most up-to-date state.

Additional Function
  • Compatibility with the V-1200HD was added.
    * Supported versions of the V-1200HD are version 1.32 and after.
    * The only supported Dante network sample rate is 48 kHz.
    * The first 16 channels in Dante Controller have been made available.
Bug Fix
The following bug was fixed.
  • Delay in one sample occurs between specific channels.

The following bug was fixed.
  • When installed in SLOT E on an M-5000 or M-5000C, in extremely rare cases, noise occurred due to compatibility with the M-5000 or M-5000C.

< XI-REAC >

Additional Function
  • Compatibility with the V-1200HD was added.
    * Supported versions of the V-1200HD are version 1.32 and after.
    * The XI-REAC operates in the 48 kHz/REAC SLAVE mode. Set a connected REAC device to the 48 kHz/REAC MASTER mode.
    * Only the XI-REAC's REAC 1 port is available. Backup operations on the REAC 2 port are not supported.
    * The maximum number of channels that can be input to the V-1200HD is 16. The maximum number of channels that can be output from the V-1200HD is 16.

< XI-SDI M-5000/M-5000C >
* These are supported on M-5000/M-5000C Ver.1.50 and after.

Additional Functions
  • Compatibility with the M-5000/M-5000C was added.
    * A total of 32 channels of 48 kHz audio (16 channels each via SDI IN 1 and 2) is input to the M-5000/5000C, and 32 channels of 48 kHz audio is output from SDI OUT 1 and 2 (16 channels each).
    * Video is throughput unchanged via SDI IN 1 -> OUT 1 and IN 2 -> OUT 2 (with frame delay). When only one series is input, IN 1 is used.
    * When the SAMPLING FREQ setting on the M-5000/5000C is 48 kHz, CLOCK SOURCE is set to the slot where the XI-SDI is installed.
    * OUT 1 and 2 are synchronized to IN 1.
    * On the M-5000/5000C, only a single XI-SDI unit can be used. Using 2 units is not possible.
    * When connecting an M-5000/5000C, use a separately available PSB-7U.
    * For M-5000/5000C settings, refer to the manual for the M-5000/5000C.

< XI-SDI V-1200HD >
* These are supported on V-1200HD Ver.1.42 and after.

Bug Fixes
The following bugs were fixed.
  • On some equipment, audio includes noise.
  • Image quality in SD input/output has been improved.

* Models for which no changes are described are at the latest level.
 
How to download and expand the archive file
Download the file named "xi_update171006.zip".
The downloaded file is a zip-format archive. Double-click it to expand it.
When expansion ends, a folder named xi_update171006 and containing the necessary update files appears.
